Legacy Giving

Wilderness is one of our nation’s greatest ideas, and the 1964 Wilderness Act our most visionary law. It took great foresight to proclaim the generosity of spirit to let nature be, forever, securing for all its wild inhabitants and future generations the essential condition of Wilderness. Keeping Wilderness wild forever requires eternal vigilance from our citizens.

Your support for Wilderness and Wilderness Watch has always been essential to protecting these special places—ensuring that the high ideals expressed in the Wilderness Act endure long after you and I are gone.

When you think about the legacy you want to leave, we encourage you to leave a legacy of Wilderness by including Wilderness Watch in your will. Leaving a Legacy Gift is easy to do, and it’s a wonderful way to give back to the wild country and all of its wild inhabitants that have given so much to us.

Your Legacy Gift can be directed toward a fund that most appeals to you, including our Forever Wild Endowment, where contributions are invested to generate a steady income. Wilderness Watch leaves the principal intact, using the interest and dividends to pursue our organization’s mission.
